Powassan has free skating in January at sportsplex sponsored by Quality Hardwoods. Burk’s Falls Arena offers free public skating in January also for Armour, Ryerson and Burk’s Falls. Huntsville is located in the Muskoka region just south of the Almaguin Highlands and they offer free holiday public skating sponsored by Tim Horton’s at the Huntsville Centennial Centre. There will be outdoor family fun on the ice rink, tubing hill, ski trails, mountain hike, and snowshoe track. We will be serving hot apple cider, hot chocolate, winter sno-cones, and Tawingo cookies. This is held at Camp Tawingo in Huntsville located at 1844 Ravenscliffe Road. Canadian Pond Hockey Championships is held at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville on the outdoor rink. This event is a fun filled weekend for everyone to enjoy. Go for a spin on the outdoor skating rink at Arrowhead that overlooks beautiful Mayflower Lake. At the gazebo beside the rink, you can change into your skates, or take a break and just watch the fun on the ice. Arrowhead Provincial Park offers skates to rent for the whole family!
