This popular nine hole course is set in the beautiful cottage country south of the town of Magnetawan. It lies on land that was once an old farm, beside the beautiful Ahmic Lake , which can be viewed from almost every hole. Perfect for the vacationing golfer, Ahmic Lake is a laid back course that provides visitors with a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a round. Its easy walking fairways and tranquil surroundings make for a stress free game, and good scores are common on the course. The fairways here tend to be open, but thick trees border the perimeter holes, so you won't be able to spray all your shots. Challenge is provided by Ahmic Lake's many small greens, which require accurate approach shots, and a large water hazard that cuts through the middle of the course and enters play on four of its holes.

The Almaguin Highlands Golf & Country Club is a challenging, regulation 9 hole, par 35, 2871 yards long golf course in a beautiful valley in the Almaguin Highlands with scenery not unlike the Scottish Highlands, where golf was born! We are right on Hwy 11, just 25 km North of Huntsville. The magnificent Magnetawan River flows along the golf course and comes into play on our 527 yards par 5, second hole and on our signature hole, the 156 yards par 3, third hole, where your ball has to go across the river to a small green.
